Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Piton Ventures LLC ("we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of MyBudgetGuide at app.mybudget.guide (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Description of Service

MyBudgetGuide is a personal finance planning tool that helps individuals and families build budgets, model financial decisions, and understand the impact of major life changes on their finances. The Service does not connect to your bank, import transactions, or access any external financial accounts. All data entered into the Service is provided manually by you.

Account Registration

To use the Service, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete, and current information. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

Nothing in the Service constitutes financial advice, tax advice, legal advice, or professional accounting services. The outputs generated by the Service — including budget projections, mortgage estimates, loan calculations, and scenario results — are for personal planning purposes only.

You are solely responsible for any financial decisions you make. We strongly encourage you to consult with a qualified financial professional before making significant financial commitments.

No Guarantee of Accuracy. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of any calculations or projections generated by the Service. Results are based entirely on the information you enter and are provided as-is for planning purposes only. They should not be used as the sole basis for any major financial decision.

User Responsibilities

You agree to use the Service only for lawful personal finance planning purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the information you enter and for verifying any outputs the Service generates.

You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, interfere with or disrupt the Service, reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of our software, or use the Service in any manner that could damage, disable, or impair our systems.

Intellectual Property

The Service and all content, features, and functionality thereof — including text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by Piton Ventures LLC and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

You retain ownership of the data you enter into the Service. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your data solely to provide the Service to you.

Limitation of Liability

MyBudgetGuide is provided free of charge as a personal planning tool. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Piton Ventures LLC's total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service — regardless of the form of action — is limited to zero dollars ($0.00), reflecting the fact that you paid nothing to use this Service.

In no event shall Piton Ventures LLC, its officers, directors, employees, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to financial losses arising from decisions made using the Service.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Piton Ventures LLC and its officers, directors, employees, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Dispute Resolution and Arbitration

Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved by binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. The arbitration shall be conducted in Salt Lake City, Utah. The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

You agree that any arbitration shall be conducted on an individual basis only. You waive any right to participate in a class action lawsuit or class-wide arbitration against Piton Ventures LLC.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Utah, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any legal action not subject to arbitration shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Salt Lake County, Utah.

Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on our website and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the modified Terms.

Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Piton Ventures LLC concerning the Service and supersede all prior agreements and communications, whether written or oral.
